The main ingredients of this recipe is cabbage. Cabbage is a healthful low-calorie vegetable that can be added to your daily diet when trying to shed a few pounds. Proponents of the cabbage soup diet claim it help you lose up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) in just one week.

  • 1 14-oz. can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 c. extra-virgin olive oil
  • For the cabbage roll:
  • 12 cabbage leaves
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. ground pork
  • 1 c. riced cauliflower
  • 3 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley plus more for serving
  • Freshly ground black pepper


  • Preheat oven to 375°. combined tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano in a blender and make a puree, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. In a large pot over medium heat, add oil and the pureed tomato sauce, simmer, then the fire to medium- low and simmer for 20 minutes until its thickened.
  • Cooking for the cabbage rolls:
  • In a large pot of boiling water, blanch cabbage (do not overcook)for a minute then set aside. In a large bowl, mix 1/2 cup tomato sauce, ground meats, cauliflowers rice, scallions and parsley, season with salt and pepper to taste. In a large baking dish spread a thin layer the sauce, using a knife, cut out the hard part of the cabbage leaf. place about 1/3 cup of filling to the end of the leaf, then roll up, tucking in the sides as you roll.Place the rolls side down on the top sauce in the baking dish. put the remaining sauce on the top of the cabbage rolls, bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the meat is cooked through and thermometer reach 150°
